This option allows
you to set group and user access to both the settings of
a queue and the right to view the output from that queue
in the Archive Client. These settings are useful when
you want to keep the FormTrap processing for
different departments separate from each other. Often
this is for security reasons, but it also makes job
tracking a lot easier as users only ever see the results
of relevant jobs.To
configure access rights for a queue:
- Click Add to include a new user or group to
the access list.
- The User rights screen appears.
- Enter the name of the user or group you wish to
grant access rights to in the User textbox:
- If you are adding a group, enter the
group name as defined in the FTSpooler Server
Administration Console.
- If you are adding an Enterprise (Windows)
user, enter the user name in the format
domain\user.
- If you are adding a World (Internet) user,
enter the user name as defined in the FTSpooler Server Administration Console.
- You can add multiple users and/or groups at
the same time by separating names with a
semi-colon (;) in the User textbox.
- Set the access rights for this particular user
or group:
- Check the Can see queue settings (read
access) checkbox to allow this user to view
the queue settings using the Queue
Administrator. Users with this right cannot make
any changes to queue settings.
- Check the Can manage queue settings (full
control) checkbox to grant this user the
right to make changes to the queue settings
using the Queue Administrator.
- Check the Can see relevant records in
archive (read access) to allow this user to
see the results of jobs processed by this queue
using the Archive Client.
- Check the Can manage relevant records in
archive (full
control) to grant this user the right to
resubmit and delete jobs originally processed by
this queue using Archive Client.
- Click OK to add this user, group or list
of users.
- To add a new user or group, or to grant
different access rights to a user or group, repeat
steps 2 to 5.

- Click the Edit button.
- In the User rights screen, change the
settings to your new requirements.
- Click OK to accept the changes.
