The Start Up option allows you to configure settings used
by FTSpooler upon starting.
Process existing files in queues - Jobs sent to FTSpooler
input folders when FTSpooler was not running or paused will be automatically
processed on start up of FTSpooler.
Add icon to task bar - The FTSpooler program icon
is included in the system tray.
Start hidden - FTSpooler starts with its window
minimized.
Enable LPD (Line Printer Daemon) - Selecting this
option allows FTSpooler to listen for print requests
from LPR clients (via the Line Printer Protocol) and
to act as the Print Server (LPD). FTSpooler will also act as a
print server to requests coming from a Work Station
Customisation Object from AS/400 computers. To configure
FTSpooler to act as an LPD on start-up, check Enable LPD checkbox. You need to restart FTSpooler for this to take
effect. The port may be changed to support client applications
that use non-standard port numbers to send print requests.
Usually this option will not be changed with the default port
number (515) used by the Print Daemon.
