FTSpooler is licensed to a
given number of concurrent printers.
FTSpooler needs to
select only PCL5 or PS
compatible printer(s) connected to your system by
checking the option(s). Printers that are used
for both PCL5 and PS need
only be chosen once as
the data stream is fully
inclusive of and selects
the language that will
be used.
Install either a local or network PCL5 /PS printer to the
system.
Selection of the option Next time discover
remote printers (can lead to delays) allows
you to use printers which are not defined on the
local machine but within the domain. However, it may
take long time to respond depending on the size of
your domain and protocols used to discover printers.
The response time has no implications on the speed
of
printing. By default, this option is not selected.
To configure printer licenses:
- Choose Printers from the Options
menu.
- The Printers dialog will appear. The
number of licensed printers appears in the title bar
of the dialog.
- Check the printers in the list that you wish
FTSpooler to print to, up to a maximum
number of licensed printers.
- Click OK to save the printer license
settings.
- You will now see a list of available
printers in the Print tab of your queue
properties.

After selecting the option Next time discover remote printers
(can lead to delays), you will be able to see all the printers
within the domain.
