automatically purged from the archive.Archive management allows users to perform
these
functions on the successful or failed jobs archives.
Users may customize the Maximum number of displayed records
in the archive or set the Keep no more than ?
days function
of both successful and failed jobs.
Keep no more than ? days values defined at the queue level will override

There are two independent databases maintained by
FTSpooler - one for successful jobs and another for
failed jobs.
These databases grow in
size. It is
advisable that from time to time (monthly for
example) for users to compact the databases to reduce
database file size and enhance performance. Compact successful jobs archive and
Compact failed jobs archive commands are used.
While unlikely, databases may get corrupted due
normally to external factors. Repair successful jobs archive and
Repair failed jobs archive commands usually
address this problem, allowing the database engine to
recover itself, however, a positive result is not
guaranteed. It is better to regularly compact databases
and backup databases, and remove the old jobs to keep
the databases relevant and as small as possible. |
