Manage FTSpooler Archives

FTSpooler archives in the default configuration of the Microsoft Jet database engine. The capacity of a single archive file is 2G, however long before this is reached the archiving component may become unstable.

It is highly recommended that automatic facilities of FTSpooler are used to delete old entries and that the databases are regularly compacted.

To store successful jobs into archive requires Archive Successful Jobs checkbox to be checked in Queue Properties - Options Tab of the queue. Failed jobs are automatically saved in Unsuccessful Jobs Archive.

  • To view the output data used to process the jobs, Click the icon on the tool bar, or right click on one of the archive entries and select View Output from the drop down menu.
  • The input data file captured from FTSpooler Archive is named differently from the actual file sent to FTSpooler.

  • The output data file can be captured and viewed, saving as either PCL or PS/PDF file.
