Using Delivery Tags
To make the effective use of Delivery Tags:
- Split the incoming file into individual documents.
- Create Delivery Tag objects as part of the definition of the XML file and check that those are as you want them in the XML preview. Delivery Tags are last in the file and are either fully defined or may quote a Lookup File Name which is replaced with Lookup File Data when delivered to the Server. Lookup file names that are not found result in that Delivery Tag being dropped (no longer exists), with a warning placed in the log file. The sample shows one resolved and one lookup table delivery tag.
- Prioritize your delivery tags; Email normally has priority over Fax which normally has priority over Print. Make sure you test these against your data files by viewing the output XML file.
- Configure your FormTrap Server queues with the correct Delivery Tag handing options.
Delivery tag names are available to deliver documents by Email, Fax and to File.

Other Delivery Tags may be used by your own procedures or simply to index documents for FormTrap Server Archive view.
See here for what to change in Queue Properties (and read "Delivery Tag" for "Associated File").
