Special Forms
Current examples use FTForm Plus as the form designer, however the older FTDesign forms are also included in special section.
If you would like additional discussion on or access to the forms
and data files, please please direct your query to Support@FormTrap.com
and ask for assistance (this assumes current Support and Upgrades
status).
Variable Height Headers and Details
FormTrap handles sometimes there, sometimes not data exceptionally well. The model attached HERE has variable data associated with both headers (Header Comments) and products. This was originally done as the training model for Mayne Pharma Australia, installed in 2018.
This model uses modified data and FormTrap as the lookup company values. The original header and trailer fonts used have been changed from the Mayne Pharma selected font to the more common Arial.
Product line 11 shows maximum optional data.
Product line 15 shows a looked-up product description replacing the standard ERP description. This is useful for Pharma products as this UNabbreviates to output descriptions that anyone can read and understand. Lookup-up descriptions line break where they are too long to fit. Lookups are just for just those products that don't have a clear ERP description - which for many industries is just about all products. Do it once, do it progressively, do it just the once and hold onto all of that effort if and when you make a decision to move to another ERP.
Terms and Conditions Pages with Invoices or POs
FormTrap provides special facilities for additional pages accompanying Invoice and POs which may be numbered as part of the originating document, may use the same headings and may include data into the Terms and Conditions. We recommend having the Terms and Conditions wording in the lookup file, this way the wording may be changed without changes to the form itself and with no interruption to FormTrap Server processing. Simply, when the Lookup file is changed and reloaded, revised terms will be immediately available on the very next data file to enter the system.
A PowerPoint presentation HERE shows the preferred method in Option 1,
with an alternate as an attached PrintDoc or MailDoc
document as Option 2.
This document was was done for an Australian QAD user as a duplex
document (replacing an earlier FTDesign document that had Terms and
Conditions duplex'd on every page). This was used as the FormTrap
training exercise and implemented in mid 2019.
You can view the document PDF (two pages) HERE.

Labels (including Bar Code Labels)
FormTrap now provides better facilities for label making than the existing FTLabelPrint suite, used from approximately 2004 (and still running strong).
From Version 8.16, FTForm Plus and the FormTrap Server provides equivalent facilities directly within FormTrap for label printing. The thrust is FormTrap can provide multiple copies of labels (for example two identical labels per box, identified as Box 2 of 8) and can provide custoemr labels to your regular customers to THEIR specifications. This helps keep your customers loyal at no ongoing cost to your organization apart from the one-time label design.
A PowerPoint presentation HERE shows how this works and the labels
produced are shown HERE.
