Pre-Label
This filter expands a FormTrap Invoice or Dispatch output XML file to produce qty shipped individual labels, including serial numbers if those are present for a product. Individual labels are produced from the resulting file, normally in the same queue.
Preliminary
Examine the original document via the (data) view. These modifications are mandatory:
- Product record name must be added to the filter Arguments:
- Product record must have the exact field name qty shipped, if not please rename the equivalent field
- Product record may have an Area named Serials defined as Repetative, Space separated (or not have Serial Numbers at all)
- Serial numbers must have the exact field name Serials
- Serial numbers must not have internal spaces
- If the originating document has Delivery tags which Email'd the document (smtpTo, smtoFrom, smtpReplyTo and others) or extracted items for the File tab, remove those
- Retain the Delivery tag print if present and modify to select the label printer (normally via Substitute from lookup)
Setup Instructions
In Setup, Filters add a prelabel entry with all detail records names that represent product names. Just one such entry is required, with one argument for each different named product record to be expanded.
Name should be something like Pre-Label replicate
products, briefly explaining what the filter does.
Description should explain in detail what this filter does,
naming the Product Records accessed by the filter. This is your only
opportunity to document your decisions as it is unlikely this entry
will be disturbed for some months or even years, so aim this at
someone who has no knowledge of FormTrap Server.
Path is to the executable, prelabel.exe (which
defaults to ..\fthome\v7\programs folder).
Arguments: has one "set" for each product detail record name.
Space-separate additional arguments.

Initial directory may be left to default.
Input type and Output type are both xml.
Tick all EXCEPT the last - Hide GUI Window.
