The Start Up option allows you to configure settings adhered to
by FTSpooler upon starting.
This option allows users to modify the FTSpooler Start Up
configuration.
Process existing files in queues - Jobs sent to FTSpooler
input folders when FTSpooler was not running will be automatically
processed on start up of FTSpooler.
Enable LPD (Line Printer Daemon) - Selecting this
option means that FTSpooler will listen to print requests
coming from LPR clients via the Line Printer Protocol and
act as the Print Server (LPD). FTSpooler will also act as a
print server to requests coming from a Work Station
Customisation Object from AS/400 computers. To configure
FTSpooler to operate as an LPD on start-up, check the Enable
LPD checkbox. You need to restart FTSpooler for this to take
affect. The port may be used to support client applications
that use non-standard port number to send print request.
Usually this option should not be changed and default port
number (515) should be used by Print Daemon.
Your network administrator must restart the FTSpooler Server
Service for this to take affect.
