Version 8 FormTrap is total rewrite of the earlier functions of Form Design and Formatting. FormTrap Server functions which are recent and powerful are retained, with access to the new formatting functions while retaining the Version 7 formatting. Minor upgrades allow separation of the old (version 7 Formatting) from the "new" (FTForm Plus formatting), both will run concurrently. This provides simple conversion from the "old" formatting system to the new one, one form at a time as both the old and new will run concurrently. When all forms have been converted the old formatting system can simply be left unused.
Version 8.7 introduces the QDE (Questionnaire Data Entry)
with accompanying Data Collection seats. This runs both stand alone
or an existing FTForm Plus installations may be upgraded.
Version 8.8 circumvents Windows errors in Outlook 2010 which
decodes some PDFs (as well as other standard files) as all nulls.
Version 8.9 circumvents issues with GMail (as at February 2016)
which does not properly view PDFs unless fonts are embedded.
Version 8.10 consolidates HTML Emails to allow marketing and other users to form a full HTML email output with multiple lines of details (such as product promotion lines).
Version 8.11 provides multiple rules for delivery tags, allowing
conditional production. This was in response to a customer who
wanted to Email but only if the Email value was there and had
similar difficulties with Fax where the data required was not
necessarily present.
